In 2004, Iryna Lukasevych-Krutnyk graduated with honors from the Law Faculty of Ivan Franko Lviv National University (Lviv) with a degree in Law and obtained a Master of Law qualification. From 2005 to 2009, she continued her professional and scientific development in the postgraduate program at Ivan Franko Lviv National University. She defended her dissertation in the field of 12.00.03 "Civil Law and Civil Procedure; Family Law; International Private Law" in 2011.
In 2012, she was awarded the title of associate professor by the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science. From 2016 to 2019, she pursued her doctoral studies at the Scientific Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship named after Academician F.G. Burchak of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine. She defended her doctoral dissertation in the field of 12.00.03 "Civil Law and Civil Procedure; Family Law; International Private Law" in 2019. In 2021, she was awarded the title of professor by the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science. Scientific, educational, and methodical activities She began her scientific and pedagogical career in 2005 at Ternopil National Economic University (now Western Ukrainian National University).
From 2005 to 2006, she worked as a trainee lecturer, from 2006 to 2011 as a lecturer, from 2011 to November 2019 as an associate professor, and since 2019 as the head of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure at the Faculty of Law of Western Ukrainian National University. She has practical experience in teaching legal disciplines, general and specialized programs for the qualification enhancement of state officials, heads of local state administrations, their first deputies and deputies, and officials of local self-government. She is the Deputy Chair of the Specialized Academic Council D 58.082.04 for awarding the degree of Doctor of Law at Western Ukrainian National University.
She is the author and co-author of over 120 scientific and scientific-methodical works. Under her supervision, 5 postgraduates are preparing their dissertations. Professor Lukasevych-Krutnyk I. S. is a leading scientist in the field of private law. She also underwent international scientific and pedagogical internships at Matej Bel University (Banska Bystrica, Slovakia) in 2020, Palacky University in Olomouc (Olomouc, Czech Republic) in 2022, and the Netherlands Business Academy (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) in 2023. In recognition of her significant personal achievements in scientific work, she was awarded the gratitude of the Ternopil Regional Council (2021) for conscientious, dedicated, and fruitful work, principled life position, high professional skills, significant contribution to scientific and pedagogical activities, and the development of the university, as well as for preserving the glorious traditions of the higher education institution.
On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the founding of Ternopil's classical university, she was awarded a certificate from Western Ukrainian National University (2021). She was also honored with a certificate from the Ternopil Regional Military Administration (2022) for diligent work, high professionalism, and significant personal contribution to the implementation of state legal policy, strengthening legality and law and order, on the occasion of Lawyer's Day.
